Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb (2014) is the third installment in the hit comedy adventure film franchise, Night at the Museum. Directed by Shawn Levy, the film once again follows the magical adventures of the security guard Larry Daley, played by Ben Stiller.
The story begins when Larry discovers that the magical tablet that brings the museum’s exhibits to life at night is malfunctioning. This leads to the deterioration of the characters’ abilities in the museum, including Teddy Roosevelt (Robin Williams), Attila the Hun (Patrick Gallagher), Sacajawea (Mizuo Peck), and Dexter the Monkey (Crystal the Monkey).
In an effort to save his magical friends and preserve the museum’s magic, Larry sets out on a journey to London’s British Museum. He believes that the tablet’s creator, an ancient Egyptian pharaoh named Merenkahre (Ben Kingsley), can provide the answers he needs. With the help of his loyal museum friends and his son Nick (Skyler Gisondo), Larry embarks on an adventure-filled quest to solve the tablet’s mystery and restore the magic to their lives.
